Lengteng Wildlife Sanctuary – Mizoram’s Untamed Wilderness

The Lengteng Wildlife Sanctuary  is located in the Champhai district of Mizoram,It is one of India’s most beautiful yet lesser-known sanctuaries. Spread over 60 sq km, it lies close to the Indo-Myanmar border and forms part of the Indo-Burma biodiversity hotspot.

The sanctuary is named after Mount Lengteng (2,141 m), Mizoram’s second-highest peak, and is famous for its pristine forests, rare orchids, and diverse wildlife. With its rugged terrain, bamboo groves, and sub-tropical evergreen forests, Lengteng offers a rare chance to witness wildlife in its purest form while enjoying breathtaking Himalayan views
